How to do a russian twist

CoreBodyweightBeginner

A seated twist that works the sides of your core. Start with no weight — the movement is plenty on its own.

How to do it

  1. 1Sit back slightly, heels down or lifted if you fancy more
  2. 2Keep your chest tall, don't slump
  3. 3Rotate your shoulders from side to side
  4. 4Tap the floor each side under control

Common mistakes

  • ×Rounding your back and collapsing forward
  • ×Swinging your arms without turning your torso
  • ×Going too fast to feel anything
