I train people one-to-one in my private studio in Elgin. Every session is built around you. Your body, your goals, your level. No group distractions. No waiting for equipment. Just you, me, and the work.

What is 1-2-1 training?

Personal training the way it should be.

Every session is just you and me in my private studio. No distractions, no waiting around, no one watching. I build each session entirely around you. Your goals, your ability, and how you're feeling that day. Some days we'll push hard. Other days we'll focus on form and recovery. That's the point. It adapts to you.

Sessions last around 45 minutes. You'll work with a mix of free weights, resistance bands, kettlebells, dumbbells, battle ropes, and bodyweight exercises depending on your programme. I coach every single rep. Form, breathing, tempo, the lot.

This isn't a class. It's not a template. It's your time, your space, your programme. I'm there to guide you, push you when you need it, and keep you on track.

Complete beginners

Never stepped foot in a gym? That’s fine. Most of my clients started exactly where you are. No judgement, no pressure. I’ll start you with the basics and we build from there.

Getting back into it

Had a break? Lost your routine? Life got in the way? That’s the most common reason people come to me. I’ll ease you back in at your pace.

Weight loss

If you want to lose weight, I’ll combine your training with simple nutrition guidance. No fad diets. No calorie obsession. Just sustainable habits that actually stick.

Building strength

Want to get stronger? I’ll put you on a progressive programme that builds real, functional strength over time. Proper form, proper programming.

Mental health

Exercise is one of the most powerful tools for your head. A lot of my clients come to me for the mental benefits as much as the physical ones. My studio is a safe space.

Peak performance

Already training but want to level up? I’ll push you with advanced programming, performance tracking, and structured periodisation.

What a session looks like

45 minutes. Every minute counts.

0 to 5 min

Warm-up

We start with dynamic stretching and movement prep. Get the blood flowing, loosen up, and mentally switch on for the session.

5 to 35 min

Main session

This is the core of the workout. Strength work, conditioning, resistance training. Whatever your programme calls for that day. I coach every exercise in real time.

35 to 40 min

Finisher

A short, sharp burst to end the session. Could be a circuit, a challenge, or something to push your limits. Always different.

40 to 45 min

Cool-down & check-in

Stretching, recovery, and a quick chat. How did it feel? What’s coming next? I’ll make any adjustments needed for the next session.

The studio

Your own private space to train.

I train clients out of my fully-equipped private studio in the heart of Elgin, Moray. No crowded gyms. No waiting for equipment. No distractions. Just a focused space built for getting the work done.

Water and towels are provided. Free parking right outside the door. All fitness levels welcome.

My approach

Honest coaching. No bullshit.

Technique first

Every rep is coached. Form matters more than weight. You’ll build strength properly and avoid injury. I’d rather you do 5 reps perfectly than 15 badly.

Accountability

I notice when you’re not showing up. I’ll check in on you. That’s not pressure. That’s someone in your corner who actually gives a shit about your progress.

Mind first

Your head has to be in the right place before anything else matters. Some sessions we train hard. Some sessions we talk. Both matter.

No judgement

I don’t care where you’re starting from. I care that you showed up. The rest comes with time, experience, and consistency.

Progressive overload

Every programme I write is designed to progress. I track everything. Weights, reps, sets, how you feel. You’ll see yourself getting stronger week by week.

Nutrition guidance

I include simple, practical food advice with every programme. Prioritise protein. Hit your calorie target. Drink plenty water. No fad diets. Just what works.

Sessions are booked directly with me. Flexible scheduling to fit around your life. Early mornings, lunchtimes, and evenings available.

Every Saturday morning I run a group circuits class. High energy, all levels, great craic. A mix of stations covering strength, cardio, and bodyweight, all coached and timed. No experience needed.

Got questions about 1-2-1 training?

Do I need to be fit to start?+

Not at all. Most people who come to me haven’t trained in years. That’s the whole point. I meet you where you are.

What should I wear?+

Comfortable gym clothes and trainers. Nothing fancy.

How long are the sessions?+

Around 45 minutes. Quality over quantity. Every minute is structured and purposeful.

How often should I train?+

The programmes are built around 2 sessions per week. That’s enough to see real results when combined with good habits outside the studio.

Do you provide nutrition plans?+

I provide nutrition guidance with every programme. Simple, practical advice, not restrictive meal plans. Prioritise protein, hit your calories, drink water. That’s what works.

What if I need to cancel?+

You can reschedule and cancel inside the 121 portal app.
