How to do a bicycle crunch

CoreBodyweightBeginner

A rotating crunch that works the front and sides of your core at once. Slow and controlled beats fast and sloppy every time.

How to do it

  1. 1Hands light behind your head — don't pull on your neck
  2. 2Bring one elbow toward the opposite knee
  3. 3Extend the other leg out long
  4. 4Move slowly and feel it, don't sprint

Common mistakes

  • ×Yanking your head forward with your hands
  • ×Going so fast the movement gets sloppy
  • ×Barely twisting — rotate through your ribs, not just your elbows
