How to do a dead bug

CoreBodyweightBeginner

Lie on your back and move opposite arm and leg while keeping your spine still. It looks easy and humbles almost everyone — in a good way.

How to do it

  1. 1Lie on your back, arms up, knees bent over your hips
  2. 2Lower one arm and the opposite leg toward the floor
  3. 3Press your lower back gently into the ground the whole time
  4. 4Bring them back and switch sides

Common mistakes

  • ×Lower back popping up off the floor
  • ×Moving too fast to control it
  • ×Holding your breath
