How to do a burpee

CoreBodyweightIntermediate

The full-body one people love to hate. Down to the floor, back up, repeat — it gets everything working. Slow it right down when you're starting out.

How to do it

  1. 1Squat down and plant your hands on the floor
  2. 2Step or hop your feet back to a plank
  3. 3Return your feet under you
  4. 4Stand up tall, or add a hop if you're ready

Common mistakes

  • ×Letting your hips sag in the plank part
  • ×Rushing so the form gets messy
  • ×Going all-out and gassing in ten seconds — pace it
