How to do a kettlebell swing

The classic kettlebell swing — a powerful hip snap that sends the bell up to chest height. Brilliant for your glutes, hamstrings and conditioning.

How to do it

  1. 1Hinge and hike the kettlebell back between your legs
  2. 2Snap your hips forward to swing it up to chest height
  3. 3Let your hips power it, not your arms

Common mistakes

  • ×Squatting instead of hinging
  • ×Lifting with your arms and lower back
